More than a dozen technology and biotech firms are based there. The town is a magnet for families, who can find reasonably priced homes in Chaska, low taxes and quality schools. Chaska lies in school district 112 and offers many choices for both public and private primary education.

A new Chaska real estate explosion in the population is expected after the construction of U.S. Highway 312 freeway passing through the heart of Chaska, serving as a fast, direct, link to the heart of the Twin Cities. This freeway will include a bus rapid transit route serving Chaska with fast, efficient mass transit.
